Obituary of Milton White

Milton R. White 81, of Tunkhannock passed away peacefully Saturday morning June 16, 2018 at home, after a long hard fought battle with bladder cancer.

Milton and his wife Eleanor were married 61 years May 4, 2018.

Born in Thurston Hollow on July 17, 1936 he was the son of the late Ralph and Lottie White

He was a 1954 graduate of the Tunkhannock High School; He worked as a Boilermaker for 40 years and was a proud union member of the Local 13.

Milton was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved spending time at his cabin in Thurston Hollow and Mountain Springs. He loved working in his garden while he was able to. He loved spending time in his shop during “Happy Hour” with his close friends. He also enjoyed the Air-Port pickers and NASCAR racing.

He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Montrose Post 154, The Tunkhannock Moose Lodge#1276 and South Mountain Land owners Association.

Milton is preceded in death by a son Milton C. White and Brothers Roy, Byron and Sisters Alice and Gloria.

He is survived by his wife Eleanor and son’s Kenny and wife Patty of Tunkhannock, Randy and wife Bridget of Tunkhannock. Granddaughter Heather, and Grandson Tyler, great granddaughter Emma. Sisters Marion of Lanesboro, Gladys of Susquehanna, Hazel and her husband Willard {Bill} Durling Tunkhannock, Sister in law Joan White of Tunkhannock, and several nieces and nephews.

A special Thank You to Dr. Arthur Meyer MD Hematology Oncology at The Henry Cancer Center, Allied Services Home Hospice Team, and his special nurses at the Gardens in Tunkhannock.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10am from The Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc. 73 West Tioga Street.Interment will be in Perrins Marsh Cemetery, Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-7
