Obituary of Judith Ann Bert

Judith(Judy) Ann Bert of Tunkhannock went home to be with the Lord on May 13, 2018 at Allied Skilled Nursing, Scranton, PA. She was born in Port Jervis, NY October 17, 1943, daughter of the late Hollis and Ruth Henry.

She grew up in Hackettstown, NJ and after graduation left to attend Keystone College. She was a stay at home Mom for many years. She worked as a secretary at Scranton City Hall and then worked for the ARC in Tunkhannock. Judy enjoyed spending time with her family, roller skating, had a love of animals, served as pianist and choir director at Pleasant View Church and Faith Community Church, was a 4H leader and in later years enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and her dogs Susan and Tasha.

She fought a long courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis and fibromyalgia for many years and through it all she had an unshakeable faith in her Lord Jesus Christ and had a personal relationship with Him.

Judy is survived by her daughter Lori Lloyd and husband Dan of Carbondale, son Daniel Bert and wife Naomi of Sayre, PA and daughter Elizabeth Bert of Mesa, AZ.  She was blessed with 6 grandchildren Brad, Michael, Kyle, Danielle, Zackarey, Emily and one great granddaughter Arianna.   Judy is also survived by Kenneth Bert, former husband and close friend, best friends Edith Burger and Rosemary Ulkoski who helped her maintain her independence for so many years.

The family would like to extend sincere thanks to the wonderful staff at Allied Services Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for caring for Judy.
