Wesley Askew

Wesley Askew Sr., 70, of Somerset County, Pa., died Monday, Jan. 4, 2010. He was born in Plymouth, July 31,1939, a son of LeRoy and Evelyn (Puff) Askew. He graduated Tunkhannock High School in 1958. After high school, he enlisted into the U.S. Army, the 101st Airborne Division. He was a retired business owner. His interests were NASCAR and dirt track racing. He was preceded in death by brothers James Askew, Robert Askew, Kenneth Askew; and sister Doris Meyers. He is survived by a brother, Frederick Askew; sister Joan Haas; sons Wesley Askew Jr., Harold Askew, William Askew; and daughter Amy Markovitz; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Memorial service will held at 3 p.m. Friday from The Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 West Tioga St., Tunkhannock. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 2 p.m. until the time of the service
