Ruth A. Guyette

Ruth Ann (Stile) Guyette of Tunkhannock, died Friday July 17, 2009 at home following a brief illness. Born in Luzerne, she was the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Stile. She graduated from Luzerne High School. She was known to all as a dedicated mother and housewife who supported the growth of her husband's business through all the successes, trials and tribulations, to the successful passing of the torch to the second generation. She was an animal lover who had a soft spot for stray dogs. She gave a weekend home to many boys from St. Michael’s School for Boys as a foster parent in her earlier years. She was preceded in death by husband Bill and sons Christopher and Jeffrey. She is survived by a sister, Beatrice, Luzerne; son Bill Guyette of Augusta, GA; daughter Mary Beth of Tunkhannock; son and daughter-in-law James and Faye and grandchildren Jeffrey, Cody, and Samantha Guyette, all of Mehoopany; granddaughters Alison Guyette, Boca Raton, Fl and Megan and Steven Snead of Augusta, GA. She was most proud of her first great-grandson Aiden Liam Snead born 8 months ago. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 am from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc, 73 West Tioga St Tunkhannock, with a mass of Christian burial at 10 am from the Church of the Nativity BVM in Tunkhannock. Interment will be in Pieta Cemetery, Tunkhannock. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 7-9 PM.
