Clement “Clem” Stacknick, 63, of Tunkhannock died, June 22, after open heart surgery at Mercy Hospital in Scranton. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Linda Slick. He was born in Scranton on June 21, 1947 son of the late Clement and Betty Brosios Stacknick Sr. He was a 1965 graduate of the Lackawanna Trail High School, and a United States Air Force veteran having served in Vietnam. He was a member of the Tunkhannock United Methodist Church, Triton Hose Co, the Tunkhannock Flag Association and the American Legion in Clarks Summit. He was the Tunkhannock High School Diving coach, and coached both Tunkhannock Little League and Squidget baseball teams. He loved NASCAR, Syracuse Basketball, and working in his woodworking shop. He enjoyed his trips to Canada fishing at Farren Lake with his brother in law Paul. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be truly missed by all. There was nothing more important to Clem than his family. He is survived by his son’s Dennis and wife Annette, of Phillipsburg, NJ, and Daniel and wife Melinda, of Banger, PA. Brothers Donald, and Ronald, both of Factoryville, and Kenneth of Fleetville, and sister Beverly Shoemaker, of Texas. Two grandchildren Alyssa, and Noah. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc., 73 West Tioga St. Tunkhannock with Pastor Craig Gommer of the Tunkhannock United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to the Tunkhannock United Methodist Church, Corner of Warren and Church St., Tunkhannock, PA., to The Tunkhannock Flag Association, c/o David Ide, 1 Courthouse Square, Tunkhannock or to the Triton Hose Company, P.O. Box 765, Tunkhannock.
