William L. Hall of Auburn Twp., Meshoppen died Friday in John Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore, after a long courageous battle with leukemia. He was born in Wilkes-Barre on December 28, 1939 son of the late Joseph and Myrtle Lloyd Hall. Bill was a graduate of GAR High School class of 1957 and retired from the Proctor and Gamble Plant in Mehoopany after 28 ½ years of service. He was a member of the Tunkhannock Moose lodge and a Social member of the Black Walnut American Legion. Bill was a member of the P&G Retirees Association and the P&G Golf League. He enjoyed bird watching, golfing and traveling with his family. Surviving is his wife of 49 years Elizabeth Anne Kupinewicz Hall, sons William of Larksville, Jeffrey of South Auburn, daughter Sandra Burgio of Meshoppen, step sister Marilyn Kneeland of Sanford, Fla., step brothers Michael, James, Raymond and Ronald Piech all of Nuangola, Pa. 7 grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11am from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock. Interment will be at the convenience of the Family. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday 6 to 8. Donations to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, P.O. Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202, can be made in lieu of flowers.
