Barbara G. Severcool

Barbara G. Severcool of Meshoppen died Wednesday at Tyler Memorial Hospital in Tunkhannock surrounded by loving family and friends. She was born in Meshoppen daughter of the late Harry and Bessie King Vaow. Prior to her retirement she was employed as a cook at the Tunkhannock United Methodist Manor. Surviving are three sons Michael Smith of Meshoppen, Jeffrey Smith of Athens GA, and Kenneth Smith of Jacksonville, FL. A daughter Cynthia O’Malley of Jacksonville, FL., brother Harry Vaow of Tunkhannock, sister Gloria Howe of Nanticoke, nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers John and Richard Vaow and a sister Nancy Sands. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10am from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc., 73 W. Tioga Street, Tunkhannock with Pastor Gary Meyers of the Meshoppen Biblical Bible Church. Interment will be in Forkston Cemetery, Forkston. Friends may call on Friday from 6 – 8 pm.
